Yale student-run free clinic provides primary medical care, wellness education, and help with getting health insurance, for adult residents ages 18 through 65 without insurance. Primary care services include annual physical exams for adults, vaccinations, management of a limited number of chronic conditions, women's health services, urgent primary care for adults and health screening for cholesterol, diabetes, hepatitis, hypertension, all STD's (including HIV), and tuberculosis. Limited referrals to specialty care services. Pharmacy services include on-site dispensing of prescription medications and assistance with applying to pharmaceutical assistance programs. Patients will be screened for eligibility for Medicaid and other federal, state, and private health insurance programs, and may be referred to other organizations providing social services in the New Haven community. Pregnancy testing can be done, but pregnant women will be referred to other medical providers for prenatal care. Clinic is unable to provide prenatal care, pediatric care, or care for individuals with HIV/AIDS.
