CANCERCARE: Breast Cancer Support/Education Project for Underserved Women information provided by: United Way of Connecticut

Program includes focused outreach and the provision of culturally competent services to women of diverse ethnicities, who are diagnosed with or at risk of breast cancer.  Program offers workshops to address the importance of early detection through regular mammograms, informs participants about free screening programs available to eligible women in Connecticut, provides an overview of breast cancer and its treatment, and discusses CancerCare's free support services for women with breast cancer.
