Mental health center accredited for three more years

Nov. 13--The Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center has been accredited for three years for its outpatient treatment programs for adults, children and adolescents.

It is the eighth consecutive three-year accreditation by CARF International, an independent nonprofit.

The accreditation represents the highest level that can be given to an organization, according to Roger Williams, executive director of Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center.

The center has satellite offices in Cherokee and Union counties. It is under the S.C.. Department of Mental Health.
