The course introduces participants to the risk factors and warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges common among adolescents, including anxiety, depression, psychosis, eating disorders, ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders and substance-use disorder, and teaches a five-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.
At the end of the course, participants will be certified Youth Mental Health First Aiders (a three-year certificate).
