Youth Mental Health First Aid

Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy is a 5-day intensive training academy focusing on providing individuals with the skills need to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs. Provided in a retreat like environment, the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy prepares participants by helping them to actively listen, ask really good questions, and discover and manage their own stuff.

The 18th Annual FOLKS ON SPOKES - FOLKS ON FOOT

Folks on Spokes helps support Bridges' mental health and addiction recovery services..Folks on Foot helps support our Across Ages Mentoring Program for middle school children. Folks on Spokes is a non-competitive bicycle tour along the beautiful scenic coast of south central Connecticut. The course is well marked and includes four fully-stocked rest stops. Participants who will be doing the 50 mile or Metric Century rides are strongly urged to make a dry run prior to the event. Maps will be provided.
Adult admission price: 25.00.
Other pricing information: Children 12 and under accompanied by a registered adult - $5 each.
