Idaho Health Districts Launch Network of Care Web Portal
September 23, 2012
BOISE, Idaho—Idaho's seven public health districts are about to plug into what they call a first-in-the-nation Web portal to serve individuals, families and caregivers concerned with community health.
The Network of Care program will serve as a clearinghouse for lawmakers, public health leaders and stakeholders to glean the latest data on Idaho's quality of care. The site will feature as many as 170 health indicators, by county.
"Since limited resources are a challenge for many local and governmental agencies, having access to the data can help local public health leaders and other policy makers direct their resources to areas that will target specific health issues in their jurisdiction," said Russ Duke, director of Central District Health Department, which includes Ada, Boise, Elmore and Valley counties.
The portal will provide a library of resources in multiple languages.
