AN ACT CONCERNING COMPLAINTS OF WORKPLACE VIOLENCE OR ABUSIVE CONDUCT INVOLVING STATE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
1Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Not later than January 1,
22020, and annually thereafter, the Commissioner of Administrative
3Services shall submit a report, in accordance with the provisions of
5standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of
6 matters relating to government administration, labor and public
7employees, public safety and mental health and addiction services.
8Such report shall include (1) a summary of the number of complaints
9of workplace violence or abusive conduct involving state employees
10and the outcomes of such complaints for the preceding year, (2)
11recommendations for administrative or legislative action related to
12 such complaints, and (3) any additional information or
13recommendations such commissioner deems necessary and relevant
14regarding the reporting, prevention, evaluation and investigation of

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Statement of Purpose:
To require that the Department of Administrative Services report the number of complaints of bullying or abusive conduct involving state employees to the Governor and the General Assembly.
